Only minor changes were made to the CJ-2A after the mid 1947 models, so the 1948 Universal Jeep was substantially the same vehicle as the 1947 one, a farm and utility vehicle that came with a driver seat and a driver side mirror only, with options such as a front passenger seat, canvas top, power take off, belt pulley and winch. The CJ-2A remained in production until 1949, with 214,760 built in total.
