Pontiac Catalina

Automobiles

The Catalina was the entry level full size Pontiac, a name that began in 1950 as a trim on hardtop body styles, became a separate model in 1959 and ran until 1981, the division's most popular model, available in many body styles and the donor platform for the Grand Prix, the 2+2, the Ventura and the Safari station wagon. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 5 generations: the first stand alone generation, 1959 to 1960 (1959 to 1960); the second stand alone generation, 1961 to 1964 (1961 to 1964); the third stand alone generation, 1965 to 1970 (1965 to 1970); the fourth stand alone generation, 1971 to 1976 (1971 to 1976); the fifth stand alone generation, 1977 to 1981 (1977 to 1981).
