For 1968 Chrysler redesigned its B body cars and gave the GTX a completely new look with an hourglass shaped body, while the 440 stayed standard and the TorqueFlite automatic was included, which was an extra cost on the Road Runner. The GTX was an upscale Road Runner, but Road Runner sales overtook it, especially once that car was offered as a convertible in 1969. A minor redesign with a power bulge hood came for 1970. Its model years run from 1968 to 1970.
