Nash Ambassador (postwar)

Automobiles

Nash restarted car production in October 1945 and relaunched its prewar designs with new grilles and small trim changes. The six cylinder Ambassador became the top Nash, since the Eights were gone, and it sat on a conventional frame beneath the unit body. A wood trimmed Suburban sedan was built as a showroom attraction in 1946, the 1947 car paced the Indianapolis 500, and 1948 brought a rare convertible. Its model years run from 1946 to 1948.
