For 1954 the Jet changed only in minor trim details, but the line grew to three series with the addition of the better equipped Jet Liner, which had chrome around the windows and body sides and color matched vinyl interiors. On April 12, 1954 Hudson added a cheaper two door Family Club Sedan with plainer trim. A single Jet Liner convertible was built as an experiment. United States production for 1954 totaled 14,224 cars, and the model was discontinued once Hudson joined Nash in American Motors.
