The Bobcat was the Mercury version of the Ford Pinto, a rebadged subcompact sold by Lincoln Mercury dealers from the 1974 model year, at first only in Canada and from 1975 in the United States. It came in the same body styles as the Pinto, with its own egg crate grille and chrome headlamp bezels, and about 224,000 were made from 1975 to 1980. The Mercury Lynx superseded it in 1980. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the single generation (1974 to 1980).
