In 1977 the Bobcat continued as a rebadged Pinto, with lesser trimmed versions offered after the initial Runabout and Villager models. Across all model years Bobcats offered various appearance options similar to the Pinto's, and all Bobcats were restyled with a raised hood and a taller vertical bar grille. The Pinto received its first significant styling updates that year, with slanted back urethane headlamp buckets, parking lamps and grille.
