In 1993 the Transit continued with the 1992 facelift: fully independent front suspension, single rear wheels on the long wheelbase and a slightly more rounded front end. The 1993 Transit was built at Southampton and Genk and sold across Europe, with the major 1994 facelift to follow. In Australia the Transit had been absent for 13 years and would return in March 1994. The VE6 was still the second generation platform introduced in January 1986.
