A major facelift in 1994 gave the Transit a new nose and dashboard, with the 2.0 liter DOHC 8 valve engine found in the 1994 to 1998 Scorpio, and the Tourneo, a Transit based eight or nine seat minibus, was introduced as part of the redesign. The Auto Sleepers Duetto campervan conversion was available. In Australia the Transit went on sale in March 1994 after a 13 year absence. The new nose and dashboard distinguished these vans from the earlier VE6 Transits.
