The VE6 Transit of 1990 was in its fifth year on sale, with the one box body introduced in January 1986 and the engine range carried over from the Mark I facelift, plus the Cologne 2.9 liter V6 added in 1989. The Transit now offered Pinto petrol and York diesel engines in a range of panel van, minibus and chassis cab forms, and the County 4x4 conversion was available on the VE6. The Transit was sold as a panel van, minibus and cutaway chassis.
