1983 Ford Laser

Automobiles

The Laser was facelifted in January 1983 to become the KB, and a further mid term update in May 1983 produced the GB Meteor, which brought the two ranges closer together. In Japan fuel injection and a turbocharged version were added in July 1983, versions never sold outside that market. Buyers in Australia and New Zealand often did not realise the Ford was based on the Mazda 323. The Laser was a Ford badged version of the Mazda Familia, and it was one of the smaller cars in the Ford range of that period.
