Automobiles

The first generation was launched in New Delhi in November 1999 as the sedan version of the fourth generation Fiesta, designed specially for the Indian market and built at Ford's Chennai factory. It was also sold in South America and China as the Fiesta Sedan, and assembled in South Africa, Mexico and China. It was facelifted in November 2008 and ended in 2011. Its model years run from 1999 to 2006. The Ikon was a small Ford sedan built on the Fiesta platform for markets where buyers wanted a sedan, such as India and South Africa.
