Full size Fairlane and Fairlane 500 models were restyled for 1960 and again for 1961. The de luxe Galaxie and Fairlane 500 series of 1960 carried a tri color Ford crest on the hood, while base Fairlanes had FORD in chrome block letters, and all models got the block letters for 1961. The big block 390 cubic inch V8 was available in 1961 as the top horsepower option. Its model years run from 1960 to 1961.
