Ford Fairlane (Americas) (second generation)

Automobiles

For 1957 a new style gave the Fairlane a longer, wider, lower and sleeker look with low tailfins, and its proportions were a hit, so that Ford outsold Chevrolet in 1957 for the first time since 1935. The Fairlane 500 Skyliner power retractable hardtop was the big news, and the Ranchero coupe utility was introduced. A facelift in 1958 brought quad headlights, and the Galaxie arrived at mid year 1959. Its model years run from 1957 to 1959.
