Another facelift for 1958 gave the Fairlane fashionable quad headlights and a grille that matched the 1958 Thunderbird, along with other styling changes. The Fairlane 500 Skyliner retractable hardtop and the Ranchero coupe utility introduced in 1957 continued. The second generation was in its second year and would be joined at mid year 1959 by the new top level Galaxie. Ford marketed the Fairlane in a variety of body styles, including the Skyliner retractable hardtop.
