For 2014 only three trims were offered, XLT, Limited and King Ranch, with SiriusXM with Navlink and HD radio added to the XLT as an option. A new, quieter, mechanical Nivomat adaptive hydraulic load leveling suspension replaced the adaptive pneumatic air ride load leveling system that had been offered since 1997. The Triton V8 had been the standard engine from 1996 to 2014, before the EcoBoost V6 took over for 2015.
