Acura EL (first generation)

Automobiles

The first-generation EL was a slightly altered Honda Civic with its own nose, trunk, lights and interior parts, built by Honda Canada and sold in Canada as a four-door only. Honda replaced the poor-selling Canadian Integra sedan with it. Buyers got a moonroof, a CD player and a 127 horsepower 1.6 litre single-cam VTEC engine, plus a tachometer, an alarm, 15 inch wheels and a slightly stiffer suspension. A twin of this car went to Japan under the name Honda Domani, in its second generation there.
