The 6/80 was seven inches longer than the 4/50 to take its six cylinder engine, and had larger brakes with 10 inch drums against 9 inch ones. It was built in the traditional style loved by flagship Wolseley buyers, with a prewar style radiator, centre hinged bonnet, split windscreen and a small oval rear window, although its underpinnings were meant to be almost cutting edge for the first postwar saloon. Its model years run from 1948 to 1954.
