The GT6 Mark II, branded in North America as the GT6+, was introduced for the 1969 model year. The rear suspension was significantly re engineered using reversed lower wishbones and Rotoflex driveshaft couplings, taming the handling. The rear reversing and number plate lamp fixture for 1970 was borrowed from the Jaguar E-Type, further cementing the E-Type associations. Optional extras for 1970 included safety hex hub, centre locking, 60 spoke double laced wire wheels. Its model years run from 1969 to 1970.
