Toyota Tacoma (first generation, N140 to N190)

Automobiles

The first Tacoma was introduced in the United States in February 1995 with a market launch in March, replacing the Toyota Truck, the name used there for the Hilux. Development ran from 1989 to 1994, and the exterior design proposal of Kevin Hunter at Calty in California was chosen in autumn 1991. It was a compact pickup, got the PreRunner and TRD Off-Road package in 1998, a regular cab PreRunner in 1999, and facelifts in 1997 and 2000, the second bringing a four door crew cab.
