A StepSide bed was added as an option for the 2000 model year. In October 2000 Toyota also unveiled the S-Runner trim package for the two wheel drive Xtracab, available only with the 3.4 liter V6, together with the second cosmetic facelift of the first generation. It was model year 6 of 10 in the Toyota Tacoma (first generation, N140 to N190), 1995 to 2004, coming after the 1999 model year and before the 2001 model year.
