The ninth generation Hilux was introduced on 10 November 2025 simultaneously in Thailand, Europe and Australia. Toyota announced battery electric and fuel cell variants to be launched in 2026 and 2028 respectively. It went on sale in Japan on 28 May 2026, and was launched in Indonesia on 29 June 2026, where it replaced the eighth generation Hilux, and in India on 28 July 2026. Launch markets in 2026 included Kazakhstan, Cambodia and Brunei.
