Toyota FJ Cruiser (single generation)

Automobiles

The FJ Cruiser had one generation. The idea of a new FJ with the rugged abilities of the FJ40 Land Cruiser began in the mid 1990s with the product planner Dave Danzer and the vice president Yoshi Inaba. The concept, painted in Voodoo Blue, debuted at the 2003 Detroit show, and the production car arrived at the Chicago show in 2005 with little change. It used the 4.0 liter 1GR-FE V6 and had the name Toyota spelled out across the grille. It entered the Japanese market on 4 December 2010 and was discontinued in the Middle East at the end of 2022.
