Toyota Crown (second generation, S40)

Automobiles

The S40 of 1962 was dramatically restyled and enlarged because the new Corona now filled the smaller niche, and it brought the Custom model. It started with four cylinder R engines and added an M six cylinder in 1965. The grille echoed the 1960 Chrysler Imperial Crown, and the long wheelbase Crown Eight with a 2.6 liter V8, introduced for sale on 20 April 1964, sat above it. It reached Canada in 1964 and Curacao in 1965.
