In 1965 the S40 range gained a six cylinder M engine in addition to its four cylinder R series units, and the Crown went on sale in Curacao that year. It remained a large, comfortable sedan on the same X frame chassis. It was model year 4 of 5 in the Toyota Crown (second generation, S40), 1962 to 1966, coming after the 1964 model year and before the 1966 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Crown run from 1955 to 2026.
