Toyota 2000GT (single generation, MF10)

Automobiles

The 2000GT was a limited production sports car and grand tourer that Toyota designed with Yamaha. It was first shown to the public at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1965 and built by Yamaha under contract between 1967 and 1970, with most of its design done by Yamaha. Only 337 regular production cars were built, at the Yamaha plant in Iwata, and all were sold, though it is believed Toyota made no profit on this halo car. It is regarded as the first seriously collectible Japanese car, and some see it as the first Japanese supercar.
