Rover P5

Automobiles

The P5 is the large luxury saloon that Rover introduced in 1958, with a 3 liter version of its six cylinder inlet over exhaust engine carried over from the P4, followed by a more rakish coupe with a lowered roof line and, from 1967, the 3.5 liter V8 model, which for the first time used an all aluminium V8 design bought from Buick. It was marketed as the 3 Litre and 3.5 Litre, and was the car of the royal family and prime ministers. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 4 generations: the Mark I (1958 to 1962); the Mark II (1962 to 1965); the Mark III (1965 to 1967); the P5B (1967 to 1973).
