The Silver Seraph was a single generation, launched in March 1998 at the Geneva Motor Show and sharing its platform and body shell with the Bentley Arnage. It was powered by the BMW M73 engine, a 5.4 liter aluminium V12 with a five speed automatic, making it the first twelve cylinder Rolls-Royce since the 1939 Phantom III, and its body was 65 percent stiffer than its predecessor's. Its model years run from 1998 to 2002.
