The Silver Seraph and its Bentley Arnage twin were launched in March 1998 at the Geneva Motor Show, replacing the Silver Spirit and the slightly longer Silver Spur that had been made from 1980 through 1997. The Seraph was made at the Rolls-Royce factory in Crewe, with a base price of 155,175 pounds in the United Kingdom and 220,695 dollars in the United States, after development that concluded in late 1997.
