Rolls-Royce Phantom II (single generation)

Automobiles

The Phantom II was a single generation, used a refinement of the New Phantom's 7.7 liter pushrod overhead valve straight six with a new crossflow cylinder head. Unlike previous 40/50 hp models, the engine was bolted directly to the four speed manual gearbox, and power was transmitted by an open driveshaft, hypoid bevel final drive and Hotchkiss drive. The frame was lower than before. The standard wheelbase was 150 inches. Its model years run from 1929 to 1935.
