The Phantom I was introduced as the New Phantom in 1925 to replace the original Silver Ghost, with a larger engine of 7.7 liters and pushrod operated overhead valves in place of side valves. It was built in Derby, England, and in Springfield, Massachusetts, in the United States, with several differences in specification between the two. The name Phantom I was never used by Rolls-Royce in the period, being a construct of enthusiasts. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the single generation (1925 to 1931).
