The Renault Master is a large van that Renault has produced since 1980, now in its fourth generation, which replaced the earlier Renault Super Goélette light trucks. The first generation was launched in September 1980 with a Fiat-Sofim diesel engine and was built at the Batilly plant in northeastern France, with the distinctive sliding door and round door handles. The second generation arrived in November 1997, the third in the summer of 2010 and the fourth in 2024. It is also sold as the Nissan Interstar, and versions of the second and third series were sold as the Opel and Vauxhall Movano, though all four generations were designed and built by Renault. Body styles run from the standard panel van to crew vans, long wheelbase models and pickups. Heavier duty versions were sold by Renault Trucks as the B series, later the Messenger and the Mascott, and a battery electric Master Z.E. was introduced in 2018.
