The Renault Master IV is a light commercial vehicle sold by Renault from 7 May 2024. Presented on 21 November 2023, it replaces the Master III, on sale since 10 April 2010. Renault Trucks announced its version as the Master Red Edition on 22 November 2023, and Nissan announced a clone, the Interstar III, on 7 February 2024. The project began in the early 2020s under the name XDD, with a common platform developed in partnership with Mercedes-Benz, so the Master IV shares much of its technical content with the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter III while each brand keeps its own styling. Aerodynamics was a key requirement, earning the design the nickname Aerovan, with a shorter bonnet, an advanced and inclined windscreen, shaped mirrors and a tapered rear. The vehicle was too large for the usual wind tunnel at Saint-Cyr-l'École, so studies used models at 83 percent scale.
