The Renault Master II is the second generation of the Renault Master light commercial vehicle, produced from November 1997 to 9 April 2010. It replaced the Master I and the lengthened Trafic I, and was sold for the first time through the Renault Véhicules Industriels truck network as well. It was the best-selling large van in France, ahead of the Citroën Jumper and Relay and the Peugeot Boxer and Manager, and sold more than a million examples counting the Opel and Vauxhall Movano and the Nissan Interstar. Its technical platform was shared with the Interstar and the Movano, and many body parts, notably the doors, with the Iveco Daily. The engine moved to a transverse position, and the first 2.5 d and 2.8 dTi had no rear disc brakes. The phase two of October 2003 dropped the rounded headlights, and from October 2006 only the 2.5 dCi of 100 horsepower remained.
