The Acclaim was a version of Chrysler's AA body four door sedan, an evolutionary development of the extended K car platform, and it replaced the E body Caravelle and the K body Reliant at Plymouth. It was one of three badge engineered cars with the Dodge Spirit and the Chrysler LeBaron sedan, and it differed in wheel choices, bodyside moldings and fascias, with its own taillights and the Plymouth eggcrate grille. Production ended in December 1994 after a short 1995 model year. Its model years run from 1989 to 1995.
