With a nearly 16 percent price increase over the 1985 model, the final generation Toronado made its debut in 1985 for the 1986 model year, smaller overall, moving from body on frame to unibody construction, and the first Toronado since 1969 to feature hidden headlights. Oldsmobile discontinued the Toronado and Trofeoéo at the end of the 1992 model year. Its model years run from 1986 to 1992. Hidden headlights, a unibody and a digital instrument panel marked the new car.
