Oldsmobile Alero (Alero, 1999 to 2004)

Automobiles

The design of the Alero was previewed in 1997 with the Alero Alpha concept car, a V6 powered sport coupe, and its appearance was a revival of coke bottle styling popular in the 1960s and 1970s. It shared its chassis and many parts, including engines, with the Pontiac Grand Am, and came in base GX, mid level GL or high end GLS trim. Its model years run from 1999 to 2004. The Alero was built at the Lansing Assembly Plant, and a planned replacement, the Oldsmobile O4 concept by Bertone, was unveiled in 2001.
