Morris Cowley (Cowley 1200 and 1500)

Automobiles

The 1954 Cowley was a four cylinder midsize car sold until 1959, essentially a budget version of the Oxford with less chrome, no heater, fixed front quarter lights and a simplified dashboard. It was launched in July 1954 with a 1200 cubic centimeter B series engine of 42 horsepower, and in October 1956 the engine was replaced by the Oxford's larger 1489 cubic centimeter unit with styling changed in line with the Oxford Series III. Its model years run from 1954 to 1959.
