Mazda Cosmo

Automobiles

The Cosmo was Mazda's halo car from 1967 to 1995, the car that launched the Mazda Wankel engine. The first Cosmo was one of the first production cars with a two rotor Wankel engine, along with the NSU Ro80. The name reflects the international fascination with the Space Race. This model covers the Mazda badged cars of 1967 to 1989, and the last series, the JC, was sold as the Eunos Cosmo. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 3 generations: the series L10A and L10B (1967 to 1972); the series CD (1975 to 1980); the series HB (1981 to 1989).
