Lexus GX J150 (second generation)

Automobiles

The second generation Lexus GX, J150, appeared as the GX 460, which debuted in China at the Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition in November 2009. The redesigned model kept body-on-frame construction, full-time four-wheel drive, an electronically controlled hi-lo transfer case and a Torsen centre locking differential, and the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System became standard. Power came from a new 4.6 litre 1UR-FE V8 producing 224 kilowatts and 446 newton metres of torque with a new six-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy improved over the earlier generation, the maximum towing capacity was 2,950 kilograms, and the drag coefficient was reduced to 0.35. A flip-up glass panel was added to the side-opening tailgate.
