The Jeep CJ-7 was the longer wheelbase Jeep that American Motors introduced for the 1976 model year, with squared off door cutouts for hinged doors and a better handling chassis than the CJ-5. About 379,000 were built over eleven years, in Renegade and Laredo trims, with options such as Quadra Trac four wheel drive, a molded hardtop and steel doors, until the first Jeep Wrangler replaced it in 1987. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the only generation (1976 to 1986).
