Honda Aircraft Company, of Greensboro, North Carolina, produces the HA-420 HondaJet, a light business jet. Its concept began in 1997 and was complete in 1999, it flew for the first time on December 3, 2003, and in December 2015 it received its FAA type certificate and had its first delivery. The six or seven seat aircraft has a composite fuselage and an aluminum wing and is powered by two GE Honda HF120 turbofans mounted on pylons above the wing. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into 3 generations: the original HondaJet (2015 to 2017); the HondaJet Elite (2018 to 2021); the HondaJet Elite II (2022 to 2023). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda. An aircraft has no model years in the way a car has, so the year pages here follow the calendar years from certification in 2015 in which the article dates changes to the type, its certification, its deliveries and its production. The article names no year after 2023 for a change to the aircraft, so none is listed.
