Ford GPA

Automobiles

The GPA, called the Seep, was Ford's amphibious version of its wartime GPW jeep, of which more than 12,000 were made and which served with Allied forces from D Day onwards in Europe and the Pacific. It was too slow and heavy on land and not seaworthy enough in open water, though it was widely used, and a third of the output went to the Soviet Union under Lend Lease. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the single generation (1942 to 1943).
