Ford Falcon (Australia) (XE)

Automobiles

As the fuel crisis eased, Australians moved away from the downsized Commodore back to the traditional full size Falcon. In 1982, for the first time in more than a decade, the XE Falcon, with its Watts linkage coil sprung rear suspension and fuel saving differential ratios, eclipsed its Holden rival in terms of sales. Ford's Australian manufactured Cleveland V8s were discontinued in 1982, and in 1983 a 4.1 litre EFI six was introduced. Its model years run from 1982 to 1983.
