Sales of the second generation Neon started with the 2000 model year and production ended with the 2005 model year, and it was only available as a four door sedan. The sole engine in many markets, including the United States, was the 2.0 liter SOHC engine of 132 horsepower. It was advertised as having over 1,000 refinements from the original generation, and the first generation's frameless windows were replaced with a full framed door. Its model years run from 2000 to 2005.
