Dodge Caravan (AS platform)

Automobiles

The second generation of the Chrysler minivans, on the AS platform, was the first to offer driver side airbags, in 1991, optional integrated child safety seats, from 1992, and all wheel drive as an option for the first time. Refinements to handling, a larger rear window with a third brake light and flush door handles marked it out from the first generation. The Chrysler Voyager and the Mini Ram Van were also assembled in Graz, Austria, from 1992 for the European market. A manual transmission was offered for the last time in this generation. Its model years run from 1991 to 1995.
