From 1957 the Fireflite wore the bold, radical Forward Look design by Virgil Exner's studio, with large tailfins, dual oval exhaust outlets and triple lens taillights, and a station wagon joined the lineup. The Adventurer replaced it as the premium DeSoto, though Fireflites still offered high grade appointments in a full line of body styles. It was restyled for 1959 and was in the last pair of models in 1960. Its model years run from 1957 to 1960.
