Chrysler New Yorker (postwar 1946 to 1948)

Automobiles

When production resumed after the war, the New Yorker became Chrysler's top luxury trim package, positioned against the Cadillac Series 61, Buick Roadmaster and Packard Super Clipper. Chrysler made no significant changes from year to year, so the cars kept the die cast harmonica grille of the 1941 body, and the New Yorker offered Fluid Drive with the Presto Matic four speed semi automatic transmission. Its model years run from 1946 to 1948.
