Chevrolet Chevelle (first generation, 1964 to 1967)

Automobiles

The first Chevelle was Chevrolet's answer to the Ford Fairlane, a new A platform car of 1964 on a 115 inch wheelbase, placed between the small Chevy II and the full size Chevrolet. It was introduced in August 1963 by Bunkie Knudsen, sold 338,286 in its first year, and brought the El Camino back after a four year absence. A restyle came for 1966 and a facelift for 1967. Its model years run from 1964 to 1967.
