The X2 is BMW's sporty subcompact crossover, marketed as a sports activity coupe and positioned as a sportier and less practical alternative to the X1, in the way other even numbered X models relate to their odd numbered counterparts. It is based on the front wheel drive UKL2 architecture of the X1 and the Mini Countryman and is assembled at Regensburg alongside the X1. A battery electric iX2 joined the range in the second generation. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 2 generations: the F39 (2017 to 2023); the U10 (2023 to 2026).
